Harland & Wolff timekeeping boards

I have a few questions concerning Harland & Wolff timekeeping boards. I have recently acquired one from Belfast. It has the number 53263 stamped into the notched area. It is my understanding that the fist two numbers pertain to a specific place of work. Is there any way to find out which area the worker of this board was assigned to? Aslo, is there a way to find out the approximate time frame the board was issued?

Hi Scott,

The number relates to the personnel number of the employee and had nothing to do with any particular area of Harland and Wolff as all employees would be expected to work in all the production areas at some time. From the number sequence the board can be dated to approximately the early 1950's however the personnel records are not available to the public and it is therefore not possible to trace this particular individual.
