Automatic pilot

Hi friends.

Reading the magnific book Olympic ,Titanic and Britannic from Mr Mark Chirnside in pag 151 I read about the atomatic pilot , i have one question, when use the Olympic The Automatic pilot for navegation system?

I like the navigation and systmen for that, but always i believed the Olympic navigation and the rudder was "manual"
